Beat death, cheat death, and live to ride...

Chop Dreams 2012 from Show Class Magazine on Vimeo.

People that know me know that I don't live in the past. What's done is done and I look forward always. That being said a small retrospective is never a bad idea, given that I first met a lot of the guys in Death Science this year and they have become fast friends and family.

The film is a small glance at all the footage from the year. You will see the Revenge Run, Born Free and a host of other events I attended. It's not meant to be linear in any sense but evoke the whole idea of this "motorcycle thing" which to me is simply ride, have fun and ride, and enjoy your life the way so many people never will.

Bukowski said it best: "You can't beat death, but you can beat death in life." That's exactly how I feel when I ride.

Warren Jr.'s INNER View.... only fitting with the MKE Issue that you get to ask Milwaukee's Best some questions....

I wish I knew Warren better... we've met a few times and he has been nothing but the nicest guy... I'm stoked that he agreed to let the readers ask him some questions...... but I felt like his intro should come from someone who knows him way better than I do.....

So, straight from the InstaGram FAMOUS MKE_choppy_boy himself.... Warren's IntroDUSTIN.......  get it...........? Anyways.........

This is a treat for everyone, Warren Heir Jr is the king of nice guys, he's the kind of guy that knows exactly how much fun it is to ride a motorcycle across country and back and all he wants is for everyone to experience as much as he has. So much in fact, that he's the type of guy that if you were to set out on a trip with him and your bike broke down (beyond fixing) and this was your first trip, he would unpack his bags from his bike and pack yours in their place and send you on your way, so you too can realize the ultimate power of the road.

In all of the hours and miles I've spent with Warren he's never said a bad thing about anyone, or complained about anything, or cried about something going wrong. So here's your chance to either hear a good story or get some good advice or borrow a bike, because the Milwaukee issues Inner View is with Warren Jr! So if we can get him out of the Inner City where he's most likely eating chicken and waffles, post a comment and ask him something. Just don't bring up rockabilly chicks...because as passionate as he is about his love for everything, he's equally passionate about his hate for them.

-Dusty

I'll ask the first questions......

What got you into bikes?  Do you build bikes as your "day job?"  Do you wanna trade your Knuckle for my Pan and Shovel?  F, Marry, Kill and why?- Slim Reaper, Nick Haints, Jerimiah of the Smith....

Thanks for being part of the fun again!

Put your questions for Warren in the COMMENTS below...... read his responses in the next issue!

BIG News.... SC Gives you 50% MORE INCHES....

Well it's been a pretty amazing couple of years.... from a sketchy little dream to making some pretty heavy shit happen.....So, we decided to give everyone - ESPECIALLY OUR LOYAL SUPPORTERS - a little bit of a Christmas GIFT....

We are stepping our game up for 2013.... making the mag 50% BIGGER... instead of being 6" x 9" we are gonna freak out the stiffs a little more and SQUARE the deal.... NEW larger 8.75" x 8.75" mags the same size as the 2013 calendar.... with 4 more pages in every issue to boot.

The first out of the gate will be the NEW CITY ISSUE.... Issue Number 11 brought to you straight outta MILWAUKEE... the birth-place of HARLEY..... Our FRIENDS in MKE have worked some MAGIC... the issue is gonna fuck people up....

The mag will only go up in cost by a measly $.29 per issue before some increased postage that is out of our hands, the heavier mag means a little more postage of course... Those of you in the good old US of A will be paying $9.99 total for a single issue after shipping instead of $9.00. If that's too much we are sorry.... not really. Honestly, we are gonna be giving you 50% more content and size for just 10% more cost.... pretty fair deal we think..... but we know that those who get it will be nothing but stoked.....

FROM NOW UNTIL JANUARY 1ST, the new BIGGER MAG sub prices will REMAIN THE SAME as it has been at $45 a year. After the NEW YEAR it will be $49.95... so, make moves... it won't be going up much when we do adjust the price but....... a heads up and a penny saved and all that..... Those of you that have a current subscription will get the bigger issues for the smaller price that you already paid. DIG IT.

Thank you to every single person who helped us make moves in 2012 and trust me we are cooking up even more for 2013.

Here's a little preview.......

Thanks again to everyone... happy Festivus and have a GREAT and SAFE New Years........

Check out the STORE for the DEAL.......

Running or not, as of right now here's the line up of what's in the running...

5 Panheads
5 Shovelheads
4 Knuckleheads
4 Generator Shovels
2 Ironheads
2 Blockheads
2 Jap Heads
1 Flathead
1 Britt Head

You think that's a variety... dig the styles of shit that they say they're cooking up... diggers, racers, survivors, choppers, bar hoppers, wheelie poppers, boppers, lane splitters, clubbers, trackers, strokers, and even a friggin trike.

There are a couple of guys that do it for a living, couple of guys we know, couple of guys we know of, most we have never heard of before... but each person that made the first cut showed us something that looked real interesting.

Tune it and stay tuned in...

If your name is on this list... you will get an email with some details this weekend. We hope you're as stoked as we are about it.

If your name isn't on this list and you feel like you got porked... there were over 100 people and it was not easy for us to cut 75% of it off. But we could only have so many evos, sportsters, or foreign bikes. Its mostly old American iron... just like the mag.

One of these guys will have their bike in the Born Free main show. It's going to be real cool to see what they come up with.

We are going to give them a month to get some shit together and then it will go up for a vote to narrow it down to 12.

Stay tuned...

People's Champ Update

We got over 100 people that first got in touch to be involved in the Peoples Champ Jam.

We also got hundreds of questions and we dont have the man power to get back to everyone.

Here are some answers to the questions that keep coming up and whats going on with it.

-Yes it is still happening. It is going to be much bigger and better than we first imagined.

-If you emailed us your details and confirmed that you are in, we got your email. Thank you.

-Build it anyway. That is the spirit of the guy we want to be in the final handful of bikes.

-We have over 80 people that are still in that we have to somehow narrow down to 20.

-We will be in touch by 12/15 to let you know if we think you could take this whole deal.

-Then we put the whole thing up to a vote after the new year, if the world doesnt blow up.

Tune and Stay tuned...
